Waste water disposal after electrolytic weld cleaning

The importance of proper waste disposal in modern industrial production cannot be emphasized enough.

When it comes to weld cleaning, the way in which the waste is disposed of depends on the method applied.

Traditional methods such as chemical pickling result in expensive and complicated waste disposal practices.

Even with all safety procedures followed, working with hazardous pickling chemicals implies a significant threat to human health and the environment.

But what about the waste created during electrolytic weld cleaning?

Safety Benefits of Electrolytic Method

Unlike chemical pickling, electrolytic weld cleaning offers a number of safety benefits.

Primarily, the process is conducted using mild food-grade electrolytic fluids that pose almost no risk to human well-being or the environment.

Consequently, the resulting liquid waste is also low-risk – but still mildly acidic.

To make it completely acid-free and safe for disposal, it is necessary to use special neutralizing liquids.

These liquids not only neutralize the acidity of the waste material but also restore the pH neutrality of the metal surface.

To prove this, we tested the acidity and alkalinity of our liquids and neutralizers together with the pH neutrality of the wastewater generated during the process.

See the result of the test in our new video below.
