Laser Safety Glasses 900–1100nm OD8+

$120.00 excl. Tax

High-level eye protection for high-power fiber laser work.

These laser safety glasses are designed for fiber laser systems operating between 900 and 1100nm, including common 1060nm, 1070nm and 1080nm laser wavelengths.

With an optical density rating of OD8+ across the protected wavelength range, a durable TR90 frame and wraparound side coverage, they provide serious protection without making the glasses unnecessarily heavy or awkward to wear.

  • Protection range: 900–1100 nm
  • Optical density: OD8+
  • Suitable for 1060, 1070 and 1080nm fiber lasers
  • 27% visible light transmission
  • Durable TR90 frame with polycarbonate filter lenses

Description

Laser safety glasses for 900 to 1100 nm fibre laser systems
Laser eye protection

The correct protection for the wavelength.

A powerful laser does not give you time to react.

These laser safety glasses are designed for high-power fibre laser systems operating between 900 and 1100 nm.

The protected range includes commonly used 1060 nm, 1070 nm and 1080 nm wavelengths found in industrial laser cleaning, laser marking and other fibre laser applications.

The polycarbonate filter lenses provide an optical density rating of OD8+ across the protected wavelength range. The wraparound design also provides coverage around the sides of the eyes, while the durable TR90 frame keeps the glasses practical for regular workshop use.

Visible light transmission is 27%, helping the operator see the work area while wearing the glasses.

The laser may be invisible. The risk is not.

Laser safety glasses with protective case storage bag and cleaning accessories
Ready for the workshop

Protect them when they are not protecting you.

Laser safety glasses only work properly when the lenses and frame are clean, undamaged and ready to use.

Each pair is supplied with a protective hard case, soft storage bag, cleaning cloth and retaining cord. This makes it easier to store the glasses safely, keep them with the laser system and reduce the risk of damage during transport.

Inspect the lenses and frame before every use. Do not use the glasses if the lenses are cracked, deeply scratched, damaged or contaminated in a way that cannot be cleaned safely.

Always confirm that the stated wavelength range and optical density are suitable for the laser system and operating conditions before use.

Correctly specified. Properly stored. Ready when the laser starts.

Laser glasses are one part of a controlled setup.

Laser safety eyewear does not replace correct machine guarding, controlled access, warning systems, operator training, risk assessment or other required laser safety measures.

Always check that the protected wavelength range and optical density match the laser being used. Follow the laser-system manual and all applicable workplace safety procedures.

Do not use damaged, heavily scratched or incorrectly specified eyewear.

Questions

Laser safety glasses FAQ.

Which laser wavelengths are these glasses designed for?

They are designed for fibre laser systems operating between 900 and 1100 nm, including common 1060 nm, 1070 nm and 1080 nm wavelengths.

What does OD8+ mean?

OD8+ refers to the optical density of the filter lenses across the specified wavelength range. A higher optical density means greater attenuation of laser radiation at those wavelengths.

Can these glasses be used with any laser?

No. Laser safety glasses must be matched to the laser wavelength, power, operating mode and risk assessment. Do not use them outside the specified 900–1100 nm protection range.

Are laser safety glasses enough on their own?

No. They must be used as part of a controlled laser-safety setup that can include guarding, restricted access, warning signs, operator training and suitable working procedures.

How should the glasses be stored?

Store them in the supplied protective case in a clean, dry place. Keep the lenses away from abrasive materials, chemicals and excessive heat.

When should the glasses be replaced?

Replace them if the lenses or frame are cracked, deeply scratched, damaged or no longer fit securely. Never use eyewear if its protective performance may have been compromised.
