The right brush depends on your machine, output range, weld access and whether you are cleaning light TIG welds or heavier stainless fabrication.
How to choose
Start with your Cougartron machine. Powerbrush is normally used with Power30 and Power30X. Superbrush is used with ProPlus and FURY machines up to 80A. Furybrush is used with PowerONE and FURY machines.
Lighter TIG cleaning needs a smaller brush and lower output. Heavier TIG, MIG and darker oxide usually need a thicker brush and more machine power.
Use the brush size and holder that gives good contact without forcing the fibres. Tight corners, pipe welds and long seams may need different brush setups.

Popular and effective weld cleaning and polishing brush for lighter (1-3mm) TIG welds. The brush comes in stainless steel and copper crimp variations. Best used at an output of 0-30 Amps.
Effective weld cleaning brush for long and heavily-corroded TIG and MIG welds. Best used with Cougartron FURY weld cleaners at an output of 80-200 Amps for weld cleaning and electropolishing.
Superbrush is a thick brush designed for more demanding weld cleaning and polishing jobs with higher-powered Cougartron weld cleaners – ProPlus, FURY200, and FURY100. It should be used at an output of 30-80 Amps.
Brush types
A lighter brush for Power30 and Power30X machines. Best for lighter TIG welds and controlled cleaning or polishing work.
A thicker brush for more demanding cleaning and polishing work with ProPlus and FURY machines up to around 80A.
A dense brush option for larger contact area and more demanding weld cleaning where coverage and output matter.
A heavy-duty brush for PowerONE and FURY machines, suited to longer welds, heavier oxide and high-output weld cleaning.
